GAURAV KAPOOR

Gaurav is a Managing Partner & Principal at the New England Consulting Group, the premier marketing management consulting firm in the world. He is the first and only person to have been promoted to the Managing Partner & Principal position in the 30 year history of the New England Consulting Group. Joining the firm in 1997 as a Project Manager, he became a Managing Partner in less than 7 years, even though he had not held a senior executive position prior to NECG.

As a Managing Partner & Principal, Gaurav has played a leading role in building NECG’s presence in the healthcare and private equity industries from scratch, and has helped NECG become a leading consulting firm in both industries. In addition, he has consulted extensively for clients in the consumer packaged goods and financial services industries.

Gaurav is known in the consulting industry as the “high energy” guy, who’s in a relentless pursuit of “big ideas” for the client. His work has generated billions of dollars in new value for NECG clients through new products, turnarounds, M&A/licensing, marketing optimization, etc. He is also considered a thought leader in business and has been published numerous times in leading trade journals.

Immediately prior to joining New England, Gaurav was a Territory Manager at J&J Vision Care (Vistakon). He also worked in various marketing roles in India with Unilever and the Oswal Textiles Group.

With an Engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Gaurav has a strong analytical mindset and uses advanced analytics to derive big ideas. He is NECG’s resident expert on advanced market research methodologies and algorithms for business applications.

Gaurav is an active entrepreneur and is involved with multiple start-ups, either as an advisor or a founder. Gaurav received a BE from the Indian Institute of Technology and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.
