EDWARD E. RHOADS
Ed is a Managing Partner & Principal at The New England Consulting Group, and a key participant in the firm's private equity, healthcare, and marketing due diligence practice teams.
Ed's career combines deep experience in management consulting, private equity, and marketing/sales line management, and is characterized by his proven ability to boost competitiveness and maximize growth for B-to-B and B-to-C businesses, large and small, primarily in the healthcare and marketing services industries.
Immediately prior to joining New England Consulting Group Ed was a Principal at healthcare private equity fund Galen Partners where he invested growth equity capital in revenue-stage companies across the sectors of medical technology (devices, diagnostics, supplies and equipment), IT-enabled services, and specialty pharmaceuticals. Before that Ed was SVP Marketing and Business Development at Catalina Health Resource where he was instrumental in growing the business at over 35% CAGR during his six year tenure.
Prior to that, while at The Wilkerson Group, Ed provided strategic management consulting services to decision makers in the healthcare services, medical devices, pharmaceutical, and private equity industries for clients such as Merck & Co., Chiron Diagnostics, JP Morgan Capital, Knoll Pharmaceuticals, Dresdner Kleinwort, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Vyrex, Hybridon, Teledyne-NIM, Galen Partners, Bristol Myers Squibb, Teva Neuroscience and Ethicon Endosurgery. Ed has also held sales and marketing positions with Merck and Company.
Ed began his career at General Motors where he completed a training program spanning all functional areas of the automotive planning, design, manufacturing and assembly processes.
Ed holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University. He is a published author and has delivered numerous presentations on strategies for improving patient adherence to medical therapy.
