ED RHOADS
Ed is a Managing Partner & Principal at the New England Consulting Group, the premier marketing management consulting firm in the world. He is a key participant in New England's private equity, healthcare and disruptive innovation practices.
Ed's career spans 25 years of marketing and sales line management, private equity and management consulting for industry leaders commercializing disruptive product, service and business model innovations.
Prior to joining New England Consulting Group, Ed was a Principal at leading healthcare private equity fund Galen Partners, where he invested in revenue-stage pharmaceutical, medical technology and healthcare services companies.
Prior to Galen Partners, Ed was SVP Marketing and Business Development at Catalina Health Resource where he built and led the marketing function and was instrumental in growing revenue at over 35% CAGR during his six year tenure. At CHR Ed played a leading role in product development, co-inventing novel behavior-based targeting system, US Patent No. 7,309,001.
Ed has also held sales and marketing positions with Merck & Co., and was a key member of the healthcare strategy consulting firm, The Wilkerson Group. Ed began his career at General Motors where he worked in all functional areas of the automotive planning, design, manufacturing and assembly processes.
The focus of Ed's experience is strategy and implementation of strategy to innovate and commercialize innovations. He is equally accomplished working with start-ups and multi-national corporations, and is experienced in a multitude of industries and categories with an emphasis on healthcare. Ed is also a leading Wisdom of Crowds practitioner.
Beyond consulting, Ed serves on the board of National Children's Alliance and is a mentor to start-up CEOs.
Ed holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University, where he was a T. Jerome Holleran Scholar.
